TC89AM9: On matrix, centered groups of transparent, very lustrous acicular Hydroboracite crystals, accompanied by small transparent and colorless Celestine crystals and orange spheroidal growths of Calcite. An excellent specimen for the species.
Hydroboracite, Celestine and Calcite have all been analyzed.
It comes from the Emet borate deposit, formed in a Neogene volcano-sedimentary lacustrine basin, where borate mineralization occurs in Miocene sedimentary sequences associated with contemporaneous volcanic activity.
